Alright Im in need of help. 91 FWD. I recently Installed a set of Comp 101200 cams, similar to 272's, and now I have a ton of knock that I can not get rid of. As soon as I hit approx 18 psi the CEL goes off and never quits. My boost is set a 20 psi, but w/ internal gate it creeps to 25 but not like I can keep it floored long enough for it to creep. I am running 93 oct., no means of water/meth injection. A Turbonetics/Bullseye 50 trim at 20 psi, FIC 650's, 255 HP pump, Aeromotive FPR, SBR IC, Blowthrough Maf, yada yada, oh and Innovate Wideband 02. Now as soon as I hit approx. 18psi, I knock but my A/F ratio is approx 10.3 or lower. I have no timing advance, as reset my settings when I installed the cams, and then tried tuning from there w/ no luck. All I want is for the car to pull like it should w/ cams at 20 psi w/out knocking. I am new to this whole DSMLink and even tuning scene so please bear w/ me here. I cannot provide logs right now as my laptop is not w/ me, but if anyone needs more info I can try to provide whatever info you need. Something I tried is advancing my base ignition timing b/c previously before the cams installed I found the car ran better a few degrees advanced but actually now knock is comming on faster than w/ the timing at stock. Should I try retarding base ignition timing a bit? Could I just be running too much boost for the octane level I have? I doubt it b/c someone I know recently installed FP2's and his car is running great on pump gas, so I dunno.

Please help me out, I'll try anything, cus right now $400 worth of new cams is slower than w/out them.

Thanks guys, Dan.

I have also posted this over on the DSMLink Forums so don't tell me to do that!

try running like 2* base timing. if youve got the dsmlink you can advance it where you see fit.
