i plan on mounting and balancing them on sunday if my existing studs are long enough. if not im going to have to wait till i can call up rre and order the extended studs. i will give more pictures when they are actually on my car within the next couple of weeks.

If you want to generate some interest, tell us they are 17 x 8.5, 5x114.3 PCD, +38mm offset, weight 12 lbs each, and available dirt cheap.

I like them. 16X8, 50 mm offset, roughly 13 lbs each, got mine with good used hoosier A3S04's for 300.

thanks! you got a better deal then i did. i payed 200 shipped with them looking like shit. i had to sand them down and get them painted before they looked this good. also what size spacers are you running,tire size, and are you still using stock studs?

Mine had and still have lots of brake dust on them. I'm running 245/45 Hankook's with 5/16" spacers and Mcgard lug nuts. It's a tight fit. I'm going to install longer studs soon.

how bad do they stick out from the sides? you can get the longer studs from rre

Not much at all, fills the well up nicely.

damn i wish i would have opted for the 245 over the 225 now! oOo well none the less it will still look good preform well.

For stock rims I think they're nice. The benefits of them being light n wide is even better.

alright i finally got around to putting the tires on and grinding away some of the control arm to get these babies to fit.

well as stupid as this sound i actually feel a difference with these rims. the car seems to handle, accelerate, and stop better. nothing really noticeable, but noticeable. the combine cost was 680 with kuhmo escata supra 225/50/16 tires. if you have any questions on spacer size and what to grind away just give me a pm and i will be more then welcome to help you

Hasn't fired yet My cars been down for the engine rebuild for like 7 months too.

do you have it all put together and it just wont fire? or do you still have some work left on it. you have made alot more progression then i have. hell i have seen you get all your parts and machine work done in about 2 months. keep up the good work man and keep me posted!

I have it all together minus the turbo. I should be able to order that up next week. I also still need to get my buddy over my place to weld up my pipes for the FMIC.

well i have recently been getting a TON of pms about these rims. i failed to mention that you need 5mm wheel spacers. some grinding of the rear control arm is also needed but doesnt take that long if you have a grinder. it will TAKE forever if you are using a dremel however. i have done both ways and one took me an hour and a half and the other took me 10 mins.

Well, I'd liked the rims so much I decided to buy a set. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=170010913941&ih=007&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT $370 Shipped with 3/4 tread left. I think I'm gonna try out some of that Dupli-Color wheel paint.

Will 5x4"-5x4.75"; 5x100mm-5x115mm 5/16" thick wheel spacers work? I think 5/16" comes out to 8mm thick?

Will I have to buy the RRE studs or will my local parts store 45mm long studs work fine? O'reilly's had 41mm and 45mm as replacements.

Picked up a set of RX7 FD2s with 90% Tread 245/45/16s Yokohamma AVSs pretty cheaply off the RX7 forums and am planning to install in a couple weeks for a little more stick on track days.

I've seen mention of spacers from 8mm to 15mm being used for the rears, but was wondering if you'd need that much in the front (my 17x7 40mm offset wheels w/ 225/45/17s come out pretty far w/o spacers)?

Also, perusing some of the old threads, I've seen little mention of using hub-centric spacers (like OEM Wheels) which would take alot of load from the wheel studs. I've also heard of people tearing up their studs/experiencing strange wear/vibration using non-centric spacers.

Two kits I'm considering are:

H&R DRS - 5mm, 15mm, 25mm comes with longer studs.
Project Kicks (RRE carries these) - 15mm 2pc spacer/hub centric adapter with integraded wheel studs.

I'm leaning more toward the H&Rs as with the Kicks you'd have to trim your OEM studs to install the adapter (which has it's own integrated studs) so could not swap wheels back/forth unless both had the same offset

i am going to be buying new rims here shortly and probably putting slicks on my rx7 rims. i have the sportline springs now also and will look to see how much clearance i have with the 5mm wheels spacers. im pretty sure a 245/50/16 will fit in the front
