General Help! my MPI relay keeps clicking....

At low rpm's my mpi clicks and the car tries to die then it clicks again and saves itself....anyone know what causes this? I'm guessing its a bad ecu?

On a 90 GSX the relay could be shot, its 15 years old after all. Try that first and then work your way up.

I should have mentioned that we tried another mpi and it didnt help.

Could be a short to ground between the ecu and the mpi relay. If thats not it then you probally have a bad ecu.

I vote bad ecu, had the exact same problem a while back.

It was a bad ecu. thanks for the help...I'm getting steve to fix it.
