How to clean engine with injen intake?

i heard u are supposed to clean it with a power sprayer and with ur engine on? but how can u cover up intake while engine is running? Im sure there is a simple way im just to retarded to think of it thanx

Cover the filter so that water does not get into it.

well i know that but wont it skrew something up? ur engine needs air and if u cover it up no air is going to flow. do u even need engine running?

I usually clean my engine with the engine cleaner that you get from pepboys, autozone, etc. I leave my engine on for a couple of minutes then I spray it with engine cleaner, wait a few minutes, then I would wash it down.
