Of course it fits, every aftermarket seat fits also. You just need the matching rails too.

I don't know about that. 2G seats are a bit wider bolting up rails from a 2G won't do it. I don't think its that easy, or most 1G guys/gals would be swapping.

Well, aftermarket seats like Cobra, Momo, Sparco, Recaro, Omp etc. will be just fine for me.

if you are gonna spend the money to do the conversion i say get the aftermarket... and u forgot Bride which is the best seat company :p

hehehe there are always recaros.... and bride is the best aftermarket seat company, but they range from 1000-1500 a seat

For People wanting Racing seats........
Corbeau Racing Seat Group Buy
There is a Corbeau Racing Seat Group buy from, www.clubconceptz.com
For the Targa RS Model. For $300 Per Seat.
The Brackets for Mounting are also lowered in price to $65.00 each.
Shipping usually runs between 45-70.00 total. Further west is the cheapest.

If there are 8-15 People to buy a seat (or 2) The Price drops to $290.00 Per seat, and $60.00 per Bracket.

If you live in Michigan and want to sit in one of these seats installed into a 2G that is possible.

I bought a Japanese seat that didn't make seat rails for the Eclipse and was wondering if anyone knows if the Galant, Mirage, Evo Lancers, etc. seat rails would fit into an Eclipse. Or does anyone know if the seat rails are universal for all kinds of aftermarket seats. Like if you can use Sparco seat rails for Recaros, Tenzo, and other brands.

The seat are Bride if that might help. They don't make seat rails for the Eclipse. Or maybe they do and I was misinformed. I want a secure and tight fitting seat rails so if anyone knows of an alternative seating rail that fits the Eclipse that are made by Bride, like if the Evo Lancers, Galant, FTO seat rails fit, that would be great. Thanks.

I am contemplating buying some Tenzo Rally seats for my 90 Laser. Do I need to order the universal brackets and sliders to install them in my car or can I just take out my stockers and mount the Tenzo's? Thanks for the help. Jake

I had to buy the brackets and sliders for my car. I tried sacrificing the stock brackets and it just wasnt working right and i ended up throwing the whole seat away cause it was trashed.

Also the Tenzo R brackets dont fit right either, i had to do some cutting and grinding on mine to get them in. But once there in its well worth it, it just sucks to get out of the car with those seats.

Do you think it would be any easier installing them into a 1G? Or about the same difficulty? How long did it take you to get both seats out and the new ones in? Thanks. Jake

I bought a set of Corbeau Carrera's for my 1G, since the OE driver's seat is basically dead. Since Corbeau offer brackets, I grabbed a set of them as well.

They're junk. Utter junk. They leave the seat offset outboard about 2", the mounting for the seatbelt fastenings doesn't actually bolt up (you have to grind the metalwork down), the sliders only lock on one side, and on mine at least the mounting holes don't line up with the factory mounting holes in the bodywork.

I went back and forth with Corbeau about this, but the options they offered me (get someone else to fix their brackets, have them do it at my expense) really didn't appeal, and frankly I'm not too enthused about the basic design of their bracket in the first place.

As part of my wrangling with Corbeau, I took a bunch of measurements and I talked to a few folks locally that seemed interested in making up a set of brackets to spec. However, it occurred to me that perhaps someone's been through this before and might have a better idea (or know someone that makes brackets that don't suck quite so hard).

Thanks for any suggestions...

I was looking for the 1G ones. How hard do you think it would be to make some? And how much do you think it would cost? Thanks.

Hey I know how you feel after spending all that money for them but I had bought a set of Targa rs corbeau seats and needed the brackets so I ordered the brackets and they should be coming any day , but I had asked about the replacement of the seat brackets if broken or unsatisfied I had talked with a guy named Spencer (801)255-3737ext27 and he had said that if they were their brackets than they would replace them for free no charge maybe if you talked to this guy made he could help.
