swapping my evo III 16g... but for what?

K well i havent pushed this turbo anywhere near full potential, but im gonna swap it out because a buddy is willing to pretty much give me what i paid for it, and im willing to move on to bigger and better things. anyways, i know im gonna have to get me a set of like 750cc injectors, but i dont know what turbo to go with. i want something that will basically bolt in. i dont wanna spend more than about 750-800. and thats for the full set-up. meaning, in case it doesnt bolt in, what would i need. anyways i need suggestions. and please remember i want this to be as bolt on as possible.

According to your profile, you don't have a front mount, and if you're going bigger it's required.

I would look at the SBR turbos, or if you're willing to spend a couple hundred more bucks, go with the FP Green.

Also, you need to give us some goals to reccomend you a turbo. More detail, more support.

At the risking of sounding old school: 20G.

20G is the easiest to install, and the price is where you wanted to be.

Unless you buy used, which is risky. And then if you buy a green or t3, how would you have to spend on the install?

the 20G is WAY more expensive than a T3/T4. All the companies i mentions have T3/T4 that use mitsu turbine housing. All you need to do is mod the coolant lines and get a feed and return line

Id stay away from SBR turbo's. I bought one and overall its just not what it should be. I live about 2 hrs. away from bullseye turbos and I would buy there turbo next time. I learned so much for those couple of hours that I was up there, it just amazed me.

As for your next turbo, if your not even pushing your EvoIII to its limits yet, then like someone said above, a nice 50 trim would be an excellent choice. Still has great spool up, around 3600 for full spool for me, and has great top end, doesn't fall off up top like an EIII would. Even w/ a proper internal gated setup, you should have no problem w/ creep issues.

i went from a evo3 16g to a scm61...and lemme tell you i would not have done it any other way. take for example, that turbo is good to what 30+psi on race . normally people who have the fuel etc etc would take there 16g 20g etc all the way up to 20-23psi on pump gas. the scm61 pulls soo nasty at 20+ psi. and by having that turbo it leaves room for boost to be turned up when ur mods get intensive...all these people go to a 16g then 20g then 50 trim then 60-1....y would u do that when u know to YOURSELF ! later down the road you are gonna go to a huge turbo anyway...get a big turbo and jus run low boost till u have the desired mods to make it show its true potential..tell me that does not make sense
