bleeder screw broke..can i bleed at caliper hose?

befor i go through hastle of fixing bleeder screw can i bleed my brakes at the caliper hose? thanks!oh and bleeder screw not leaking but broke enouph to were i cant turn it.

No, it won't work. The bleeder screw is positioned at the top of the caliper so that it will be the highest point and any air or gases will accumulate there. You may get some of air out but you will still have some trapped in the caliper.

Drill it out, tap it, and put in a new one.
