That's a shame, but I guess people take a risk when racing at tracks like that.
 
A sad day indeed... :(

That looks to me like it mostlikely occurred just before or just after the pedestrian bridge. We saw someone come awfully close to hitting that barrier at the NASA meet in March.

Thats too bad. Racing deaths are never a good thing to read/see/hear. Im suprised what the outcome was considering how that 05 Porsche Carrera GT looked at the crash scene. Doesnt seem like the car had much damage. :| :(
 
Dang.. what sad news. Don't most tracks have tire barriers around the edges? Seems like just a concrete wall on a race track is just asking for trouble.

Jeeze, look closer. The driver's seat is displaced a good foot toward the passenger.
 
They went down with one of the most bad ass cars ever made, but damn. :notgood:
