You may have seen a new link next to each post in red, titled "Report Misinformation/Hearsay". The proper way to use this tool is when you come across a thread where someone has posted information that is (in your experience) not correct, or appears to be hearsay or a guess. We are trying to reduce the number of posts where people are guessing the answer to a question or blurting out opinions on a subject that they obviously don't have any experience with. If you come across such a post, you should click the link. However, users are not to reply to the post and alert the world that they are reporting the post. There is no need to publicly tell the members that the post is being reported. It is to be done silently.
The reported post will be sent to all Wisemen and Moderators of this forum so that it can be looked at and the information can be corrected and the post be deleted if necessary. Be advised that if you report misinformation posted by a Wiseman, the Wiseman you're reporting will get a copy of your alert. You better be damn sure you know what you're talking about in that case.
