I have been chasing down boost leaks and have found a decent amount with the soapy water method, BUT when I'm driving and getting on the highway or just accelerating fast, I get a "HISSSSSSSSS" when above 7 psi or so, and it sounds like its coming from the vents on the driver's side by the door, but I wouldn't see how it could. I know the fpr solenoid and brake booster are right there, but I can't think of anything else. Could it be normal too? I don't think the gauge is leaking, cause its computerized (right?). Ideas? ALSO to save extra threads, I'm thinking about getting a different BOV, and I found this one for really cheap Ebay BOV, is it gonna break my car? I don't care if it doesn't last long, just want something for a few days or weeks, if the unit does fail, could it cause damage to other things as well? Thanks guys!

Here is the hose with the Valve inside the hose, it is the one is disconnected, you can barely see the valve inside the hose (post #3).

1g and 2g booster hose can work as some other once mentioned in the thread posted.

Read the thread and you will learn all what you need to know.

Hope it helps.

Ahh, I'll have a look at that in the morning too.

If I look and the valve is in there, what else would the hisssssssss in the cabin be? It sounds awfully close (if you can hear it in the vid)

The valve being there doesn't mean it is good, If the valve is in there, remove the hose and apply pressure on both sides of the hose, the valve will allowed air to flow only on once direction, If the valve allows air to flow on both directions, then is not good., You have to add the same or more psi of air of what you are running on boost.

Thank you thank you. If I can remember, I did notice the that the pedal is stiff right after turning off the car and the pedal also goes up and down when the motor starts spidering and dying, so yeah, gonna invest in a hose, it gets scary, when I'm in parking lots and stuff, Hitting the brake, it just gets progressively harder and harder to apply them.

Alright, got the hose in, and it was indeed a random hose that was on there. It does hold vacuum after the car is stopped and I'll see if I can still hear that noise when I go to autozone later on for a vacuum gauge. Hopefully this can be my first [Solved]!!

Alrighty, it worked! No more snake in the cabin! Thanks so much guys! Saved my life!
