I have access to some EVO X recaro seats, but they have no rails/brackets on the bottom of them.
Can I use these or would I be wasting my money?
If I can use them, can someone point out where I can get rails and brackets that will work with the seats and work with my 2g?
Thanks in advance.
Mike

I hate the seats in Evo Xs. They are not that comfy, they weigh a freaking ton, and the head-rest curls so far forward that you can't wear a helmet without either reclining too far or using a pillow behind your shoulders. I would not go through the hassle, personally. In other words, I wouldn't invest any money in this.

Ok thanks for the input, what seats do you suggest then?
I would like new ones, mine are really showing their age.

I would say to go with evo 8/9 recaros. They fit well into DSMs, are very comfortable, and you can purchase brackets from Wedge Engineering to fit them in our cars.

I personally love the 4th gen seats. If i didnt have 3rd gens, id deff. put them in mine

if you aint planing on racing the car, i would use the evo x seats... i like the way they look....

Have you taken a long trip in an Evo X? If not, then please don't suggest them.

(Unless the OP stole your last girlfriend, of course. In that case, offer to buy him a set.)

+1 on the Evo 9 seats, by the way.

^LOL^ ... always enjoy reading threads with jtmcinder in them. Any-who +1 on the Evo 9 seat in a eclipse. Pure sexiness, going this route soon.

I have the evo 9 seats in my eclipse. Comfy and Beautiful seats. Gotta make your own brackets or get some made by wedge. I made my own out of Corbeau brackets that were already installed in my car and holding in some ghetto ass Bomz racing seats.. I just drilled new holes and bent the brackets a little. bolted the seat rails down to the bracket and then bolted the bracket into the car, because of how i mounted the rails though the brackets are only utilizing three bolts holding the seats into the car, but they feel solid. i hear that the wedge brackets sit high, and beign 6'4'' this would not work for me so i went this route.

The corbeau PN are
