if you could, that would be great. I checked with my local stealership today n they dont have any.

I'll see what I can find for you man! :thumb:

I just plastidipped wheel #1. I left the lip polished because I wasn't sure if I wanted a completely black wheel. I'm currently taping of the sideskirts to paint the letters. I should have photos this evening!

Finished the passengers side. Drivers side is next.

Lookin great^^.. I never got my bumper yet as the one i was looking at was ripped. But i did get the side strakes finally. Had to drive 40mins each way to pick those suckers up. May i ask what you used to put on the strakes? I have no clips and a ton of glue to scrape off these things.. I want to try and put the proper parts on.

I ordered some new clips from the stealership. (just the sideskirt mounting ones as they do not have the strake "specific" ones anymore...) and I dremeled out the mounting tab just a sleight bit to make the clips fit nice and snug. then I measured the holes (all the measurement I found were wrong btw) We just lined them up with the rear bumper where it "pops out" and lined it up accordingly. We drilled the holes and put waterproof silicone on the edges of the strakes (after scraping off the old double sided tape of course) and pushed the clips into the holes. Dad pushed the strakes onto the car while I was inside the car with a socket on the otherside of the hole so they would fit nice and snug :hellyeah: It was a pain but well worth it. Just take your time and be CAREFUL with these things as they are very fragile, and well as we both found out, hard to find. If you do break one however, like mine was before I got it, I have a very nice for it.

This came out really clean, bro. Can't wait to see it once you slap some real paint on that bad boy.

Thanks man! And you and me both! ROFL I'm aiming to shoot it in the fall. I'm just going to get some quick drying single stage paint from summit racing. I've already got it priced out and everything. The reason I'm just going to do the "cheap stuff" is because again I don't have any money (damn college LOL) and because this is our first time shooting a whole car with a paintgun. So if we screw up we're not out a million bucks. Also our shop isn't neccesarily the greatest for painting. But hopefully by then MY shop will be up and functional! :thumb: Engine mods are soon to come as well. I'm shooting to get it into the mid to low 8s (1/8th mile) these next few months. Car has come a very long way since we got it and I couldn't be happier with it :D

Thanks for the tips. I am goin to a junkyard to get a template of the holes. I can get the adhiesive tape from any auto parts store. I hope to have them on this week and it probably might look silly without the rear bumper but it will motivate me to find the god damn thing faster.

Thanks man! And the Eclipse, I fixed it LOL. Its still looking good, runs like absolute garbage however. So I just drive the Talon everywhere now.

And Import Alliance was really fun! Despite the fact my wipers suddenly stopped working in the middle of the pouring rain, and the roads there sucked so bad I bottomed out my suspension and one of my struts are popped out of place now

A lot is wrong with the Eclipse LOL. The brakes are not working properly, it runs super rich, it doesn't want to start without flooring it, it idles rough and shakes, has multiple CELs, it overheats in traffic, and it bluesmokes piece of crap ROFL I still love it though. The EDZ and 5speed swap should fix all that ;)

And my wipers stopped working because my turbo timer was half way unplugged and it was casuing an electrical short. So half way into the trip my wipers, radio, and cigarette lighter all stopped working. I was messing around with the battery cables and stuff trying to fix it when we stopped for food, but then I remebered my local DSMrs telling me something electrical in the column was probably causing my radio to shut off when I would turn my directionals on (which it did for a few months) So I pulled the wiring for my turbo timer out, sure enough it was half way unplugged. And yea the roads there in North Carolina were freakin terrible, I hit this huge bump on the highway and it bottomed out the car and my rear passenger strut is now popped up higher than it should be.

God damn!!! :ohdamn: Sounds like you been having a lot of trouble with both rides!

Good thing is that nothing happened and you didn't get into an accident!

Corey do I have to hurt you bro??? LOL. Those are 3G Wheels. The 2G wheels have the spokes go all the way to edge and they have a polished lip, these bend in before they hit the edge of the rim. :p That is how you tell the difference

Hey bro's I don't want to make a big deal on the rims, I like them, but I have a few questions.

What size's did these rims come in? 17's only? WIKI GSX - 17-inch wheels after 1997, 1995–96 cars had 16-inch alloys I was looking at getting these rim's since Evo's are kind of pricy :s and I can find these at a part out or the yard :p still looking at finding some rims, then getting them powder coated. Any advice / info on rims I should look at that are 14" - 16" ?
Looking at these rims at the moment. Suggestions bro's?

This style wheel only came in 17s. They were on the 97-99 GSXs and on a few of the early 3Gs slightly redesigned. (Which is what I have) The 16s on the GSXs in 95-96 were the swirly wheels that came on the GSTs as well.

Well guys bought a carbon fiber hood yesterday for $100!!!! Great shape no issues. I've also decided on a color change..... Black Widow97 made me feel bad for copying him ROFL jk Corey. Really though I'm going Panda Talon! I'm keeping the red lettering though. I think it'll look really good. Now just to get the money for paint.

Thanks for clearing that up bro.

And get a picture of the new hood! So now you going panda again? :p

Corey is a noob!

Sorry i havent updated my conversion. My side strakes are prepped and ready to be put on. I got a long posterboard template of where the holes needed to be. Since i didnt have the rear bumper yet i didnt want to eyeball where the strakes go. In the meantime this was my current project...

And I'll get some picture tomorrow I've been really busy getting ready for college and working. We put an addition onto my carport so I can have all 3 DSMs under the same area :thumb:
