Throttle body ordered, side work wrapping up. Monday and wedensday thrash to get it running to find and fix oil leak. Hoping tobt&t next friday and be competitive sunday in 11.50. Sounds like a plan atleast.

Update:

Broken 5/R syncro springs
Broken 1/2 syncro springs
Result is a stuck 1/2 hub slider which locked the tranny in gear. I sent it out to get fixed, so time will tell. I'm not quite sure what parts to order being it a upgraded gearset.

I'm throwing the stock tranny in for the time being with a clutch that needs rebuilt. Hopefully it shifts smooth enough to drive around.

I have some used Quartermaster discs laying around in a parts bin. No floaters, just the discs. Let me know if you need them.
 
If you don't need them I can take them off your hands. Maybe you ca bring them to IREV if you come out? I think you probably know I have the regular dsm spline right? Just want to make sure they aren't evo.


Got the stock tranny reassembled and installed along with the worn clutch and t-case. The tranny output shaft has a TON of play, so we will see how he does. I know I'm not making a ton of power, but I'm still hesitant not knowingthe history and condition. I'm throwing the altentator in tonight and finishing up som small misc stuff. hoping to do some dial by tomorrow. We will see how she goes.
 
Damn Adam, get 'Er done brother! Your moving fast. I haven't been able to get as much done on my car this week so far as much as I had planned, but my evenings have not been wasted. I was able to use some of that time to help out Matt & Russ with some stuff. After all of that rain, my jungle of a yard needs to be done tonight.

It's all good Shawn. I figured they were the EVO ones considering you used to roll with the all mighty god send of manual DSM tranny's..:D I'm gonna get some new ones and just install them when I put my tranny back together. I'm just broke as hell at the moment. Doesn't even look like the Shootout is gonna happen.

Thanks! Sandra and Wendy's Wings had a really good day at the office yesterday with their semi-final finish.....I was SO proud! We still have some tweaking to do to the Boost Boyz Racing/Modern Automotive Dynamics Corolla before it will do anything that will open anybody's eyes. Now....off to the Shootout!
 
Am i loosing my touch? Been busting my butt this weekend on the laser trying to get most of the work done that has been put off for a while, but i feel like i have not accomplished much even though i've logged hour on top of hour working on it. Why is this rusted 20 year old car fighting me so bad...i guess that's my answer.
 
Dont worry Travis, it took me about 5 hours to install a oil feed line from the ofh. And i still need to install my 4 bolt rear fix me overheating issue and odds and ends of things:( btw i have ## cas next time im.im westminster ill txt u. Do to unforseen issues i was inable to head back home.
 
Bump the fuack up!! Who's going to IFO this Sunday?

I still have a little race gas I'd like to go bust some Honda ### boys heads with. This is one of two last races for me finishing the season up, so I am hoping to end strong with maybe a new best.
 
My car won't be done before then. Might take another week just to get my trans back together. Seems like when you pay people up front, your items are no longer a priority. I may stop by though.
