Just seeing if anybody is interested in going to Mason Dixon Dragway on Sunday the 24th for a little meet.

My brother (turbosax2) and I will be there.

My brother and I did decent. His car is basically stock, so he didn't know what he was going to run. I forget his best time, but I think it was around a 14.5. He's got some ideas on how to improve for his next trip out, so he'll be doing some work to try and get the car to the low 14's or even into the 13's. He had been worried about his clutch, but he noticed no issues with it the whole day and didn't break anything, so he had a very successful day. I'll let him add more in here if he'd like.
This was my first time on slicks, so it was a learning process on how to do the burnout, as well as launch the car. I snapped my drivers side axle (Napa, not OEM) on the launch of my 2nd run. Thankfully I had a spare (OEM), so we swapped it out and I went back out. I didn't feel comfortable really launching the car as I still had to make the drive home, so I babied it off the line. I put down a new best time of 13.4, but my speed dropped to 106.
On the way home, I realized I still had full weight in my car, where the last time out I had everything behind the front seats gutted, so that kind of upset me that I forgot to remove everything. At least I figured out where my time went, as I had a goal of getting into the 12's. I don't know if I would've made it just by removing all that stuff, but that probably would have gotten me closer. Also, after reviewing the logs today, I was running 4-5 psi less and flowing almost 10 lbs/min less. I need to do a boost leak test as well as up the boost next time out. That should get me into the 12's.
So I've got to get another spare drivers axle, learn from my friend how to launch the car with slicks (I bought them off of him once he went AWD, so he said he has some tips/tricks), and get a trailer so I don't have to worry about breaking stuff.
It was a much nicer track than the last one I went to (Beaver Springs) as I could actually sit at the tree without the brakes/e-brake and not roll backwards! The longest I had to wait to run was just a few minutes, which was great. Overall, I had a good time and can't wait to get back out to get into the 12's. However, it made me really miss the twisties of a road course
