Alright guys i have found a 95 gst close by that i would like to go look at and hopefully pick up if everything checks out. here is the info that i have:

Engine just bored .20 over .new crank, New rod and main bearings , one new rod where is spun the bearing, new gaskets all thru engine. Arp headstuds and cometic head gasket. Turbo back exhaust, front mount intercooler, konig villain wheels with brand new tires. a super clean car clean title in hand . I have all receipts of parts and motor work that was performed .

He says it does need a new tps sensor but thats it. He says it is drivable but around 1/4 throttle it sputters. could this be the tps or possibly a bigger/different problem as well? How would you guys feel about this car if you were going to buy it for yourself? Any info I need to know before I go look at it that I need to check out on the car so there are no surprises? Thanks! hope to be joining the community asap!

when you go look at the car take a video of it and pictures post it up here and we can give you a better understanding of what it sounds like to us tell the guy you will be giving him a call in a few days that way itll give us time to help you out it sounds like a pretty simple fix either the TPS, MAS, or even a fuel filter another could be fuel regulator all pretty easy to do sounds like a good car to me so far if the price is fair

hmmm did forget about plugs and wires LOL also possible he could just be running the wrong plugs these cars are picky about their spark plugs

If it runs but sputters at 1/4 throttle then it is probably nothing major. You could look up how to test the TPS and bring an ohm meter with you. The one thing that worries me is the TBS is such an easy fix that if he knew what the problem was why wouldn't he just fix it to be able to sell a car without any problems.

some people just guess and he may be trying to get rid of it making you think he knows what hes talking about so you feel better about buying it thats why i suggested the video but it really could be something simple like that

yeah i told him id like to come look at it after he gets it fixed and he said he didnt have the money right now to fix it, and i looked it up the part is about $160 so that could be the truth but maybe not which is why im kinda skeptical as well

it didnt say how much, i am wanting to trade my 94 bronco on it. but i know around here a gst in good condition is atleast 4-6k

the TPS shouldn't cost that much... i just had to buy one and it was under 100 bucks. personally, i would buy the sensor, bring it with you and ask him if you can install it before you buy the car... if it fixes the problem, take the car, if it doesn't. go return your switch and find another car.

There is a spot to the left of the raise in the hood with no paint it looks like about the size of a softball and little spots above and below the door, but that doesnt look like too big a deal to me. The interior looks good no rip seats or anything, but of course i havent went to look at it yet so i really wont know til i get there. im just hoping the sputtering is an easy fix because if it needs one or two little things im fine with that but i dont want to bring it home and have thousands of dollars worth of surprises

it dont sound like that to me some of the things i suggested are cheap but if you replace them with that type of setup just go aftermarket and build up some things but i do suggest a datalogger and a tuning device like ecmlink
