hey guys im trying to buy a gsx but most of them i came across on craigslist are automatic:ohdamn: if I wanted to do a tranny swap what are all the things I would need? and if you can think of a price range for me thanks

off of the top of my head you will need a new flywheel and clutch assembly, a master and slave cylinder and all of the lines for that, you will also need to install a clutch pedal, I am not sure if the CV axles are the same or not, you might want to see if the part numbers from the parts store are the same or not (if not then you will need new ones). however it looks like this guy did a pretty good write up.

the things you will need is a 5spd wiring harnes which means tearing your car all apart. next obv the transmission, swing pedal assembly. drill the hole on your firewall, master cyclinder and slave cyclinder, run all the lines for the hydraulic clutch. clutch assembly, new rear diff, no need to change the axles they are the same as a manual as well as a auto. new transmission mount, and a bunch of time on your hands. i just did this and it took about 3 weeks LOL.

And i forgot to tell you about transfer case. you need a 5spd transfercase. and also shifter linkages and shifter base, and most of all the ECU.

You can run the auto wiring harness and ecu in a 5 speed car.
