My buddy did just about everything to the engine. New gaskets/pumps/flux capacitors you name it. Full rebuild. When he finally started it, it would instantly mix the oil and water. I mean I'm talking a good 50/50 instant mix. We had it running for no longer than 10 seconds for two total starts. Not just a little bit of coolant it the oil. It's mixed well.

Yesterday he pulled the head to find out the HG did not fail. It was sealed properly. The head looks good, but we are singling it out due to the fact that the oil and water mixed so quickly. If there was a large enough crack like that we would obviously see it... we think the block is ok, but not sure. He is currently working on getting an entire new head but we just don't know what is causing such problem.

I as well pulled the oil pump/front cover today and that was all properly sealed. The oil pump was new as well as the oil filter bracket housing. All gaskets looked as if they were doing their job. No rips/bubbles/tears.

Any ideas would be great guys. It sounds as if he's missing a gasket... but they're all there.

Does the car have the factory water/oil cooler on the oil filter housing? IF so it could be damaged and could definitely cause that symptom. Other than that I cant think of anything else that wouldn't be plainly obvious.. unless he routed the turbo feed lines incorrectly, which I would think would have been apparent...

It's a brand new Forward Facing OFH from FFWD. Everything's been replaced.

have the head pressure tested for cracks

you said everything was done, so the head was resurfaced? the block too?

what head gasket did he use? composite? or mls?
head bolts or head studs?

if so how were they surfaced?

was the block bored? if so. what is the over bore?

was the block maganafluxed?

run each piston to BDC, and run your fingers all around the bore, and see if you feel any cracks

head bolts or head studs? I'm afraid I can't draw a conclusion on the HG, but he has head studs.

was the block bored? if so. what is the over bore? Did not bore, just honed it out.

was the block maganafluxed? No

I know he did cheap out on some parts... like cheap head studs and a cheap HG... I'll have to talk to him about that.
