The battery light is not on...Today my windshield wipers didnt work and its raining,, also my headlights flicker if i dont keep revs up. My car doesnt have enough power to start the car unless i jump it.

since the lights flicker until his RPMS are up, i would think it's the alternator since it's part of the charging system. with the car not having the juice to just get it started the battery is a good suspect for that part. just take both the alternator and battery in to have them both tested.

Bring it to an autozone. Theyll test out the battery and alternarot. Unless you have a friend with vat machine then check it out

yeah the part stores like that dont charge to test. it's been forever since i've used a VAT machine. i'd need a refresher.

ive had my yellow top for a good couple months now, can a bad alternator be present without the battery light coming on?

if your car stays running while after being jumped id say its your battery. an alternator would not charge the battery and would leave you stranded somewhere. but if the battery has a even 1 bad cell, or bad corosion on terminals or cables it wont support all the electrical demands. and like everyones said take it to any parts store, shop, or dealership and both could be tested for free. :thumb: and if you got it a couple months ago id look for a receipt or go back to the place you bought it for and try to get it warrentied (if indeed it tests bad)
