Wow Looks nice. I was debating on that manifold. Its a punishment budget right. Is that a inline pump I see bolted up to that sending unit?

Hey guys I was hoping you would be able to help me out.

My neighbor just bought this car and needs to know what needs to be done before he can turn the boost up a little.

It has HX40 with bolt on housing
-6 fuel lines
255 wally
AFPR
Eprom
rebuild motor non forged .20 over
2g mas

running 9psi

it has all the supporting mods.. EXCEPT the injectors... stock injectors at the moment...

under boost. wideband reads 10-11:1 ratios..

id like to get 350-375ish hp i figure the stock motor should handle that... what do i need to do from here?

what size injectors?

can i get away with just using a SAFC? or do i need rechipped?

What kind of tuning/ injector setup would you guys say would be best for his setup and goals?

He should definitely look into dsmlink whether it be lite or full v3. As for injectors that depends on what he plans on running for fuel (pump 9* octane, e85, etc)

93 is the best we can get around here. So what size injectors do you think? What PSI should he be around? Thanks for the fast response!

You have an EPROM; with ECMLink you can run as large of an injector as you'd like depending on your type of fuel.

An AFC with a HX40....something's wrong with this picture. An AFC has a tough time tuning anything larger than 650's, and a HX40 can flow enough air to max out injectors twice that size depending on fuel type.

Lose the AFC, get ECMLink.

Ive used 1050's with maft and AFC with excellent results on e85, however this was done on an 18g so for your HX40 i would definately recommend V3 lite at least. This turbo deserves the proper supporting mods to take advantage of its capabilites.

I second the 1G MAF I maxed mine out with a S16G. On another note I have a Question of my own. I rebuilt my HX35 and was putting the housing on when I noticed this.<a href="http://s1143.photobucket.com/albums/n625/robertbaxley03/Turbo%20Rebuild/?action=view&amp;current=IMG_0728.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n625/robertbaxley03/Turbo%20Rebuild/IMG_0728.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The brackets in the first image do not line up with the bolt holes in the housing. Can someone please elaborate or fill me in on what I need to get to properly seal the BEP to the CHRA. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok I will call Bullseye and see if they will send me some of the brackets and If not I will do the bolts and washers. Thank you both for the quick response.

Thanks Jusmx for your generosity, I will be sure to contact you after I get a reply from BEP. I sent them pics today and was told to expect a response tomorrow morning so I will be sure to keep yall posted. Thanks

Hey guys i'm looking for an HX-40 hot side. I'd like to find a 17cm T4 housing or even a 12cm,14cm, or 16cm T3 HX35 housing I could turn on a lathe to fit the HX40. If anyone has anything please let me know.

I have an 18cm now but i'm afraid the spool will be bad on the street even with the twin scroll mani.

I may have a 16cm T3 divided HX40 housing, and I literally have a pile of 12cm T3 divided HX35 housings should you decide to do some machining. I don't know if this is possible due to the twin-scroll design of the housing.....you may be grinding away the effective vaning of the twin-scroll 12cm housing to fit the giant HX40 turbine.

I have 2 17cm2 housings for the hx40. I also just picked up a 60mm 6 blade hx40 that I am trying to get rid of.

Here's a crappy vid from a little tuning session tonight... The temp warmed up from 25* on thanksgiving day to 45* today... So... Not as good of a vid as I wanted to show everyone, but it works...

Disregard my buddy talking... He kept on saying my car sounded like a jet airplane taking off... Hence the 0-1 niner crap... LOL...

4500ish RPM to 6500ish RPM 70mph to 120ish MPH

What size h1e is this? 58 or 60mm? i have a 60mm with a 22cm t4 flange which i am told this is the largest of the h1e holsets.

Ok. Cant wait to see what mine will do. Looks like a good pull though. No knock. IDC is relatively low. Should have some more in it.

Yeah man... Its got a lot more in it... Boost on that pull was only at 22ish. It dropped from 25ish with the higher temps today.

Just wanted to update and say that I contacted BEP and they are sending me the hardware that was suppose to come with the houseing. Thanks for all of the input. Nice pull on the H1E by the way.

Hey Andrew (project gs) wheres my credit for building you that sweet downpipe? LOL

BTW, a 3" aluminum V-band gasket/spacer sealed up the exhaust leak at the v-band we had...
