Hey guys just curious what the weak link is in a stock motor? rods or pistons? I have heard of people pushing the stock motor very far...

Its the rod bolts.
You would be surprised at how far you can push a 6 bolt stock motor. DSM link to tune and race fuel you can get deep in the 11s on an AWD but your really stressing the stock rods and head bolts at that point.
The DSM drivetrain is far more fragle than the stock motor. If your looking to get more performance out of your stock car the first place you should be looking is your transmission then bolt ons.
