I just am putting in a new EVOIII 16G and VRS 3" turbo back with 02 eliminator. It came with all gaskets except one to bolt it right there at the turbo. My old Evo 3 gasket didnt fit and match up to this VRS turbo back part of the exhaust. It was off centered and just didnt fit, etc. Can you direct me to th right gasket i need? Can i just mate the two parts with high temp RTV for now? Will that work? Thanks

you need a gasket for the Mitsubishi turbo housing.

Here is a link Gasket select evo III

Next time look for the information, most of the time its right there, or just check supporting vendors and their items.
if the o2 housing that comes with the VRS turbo back exhaust doesn't line up perfectly with the evo III gasket it might need some porting.

Im wondering if maybe oreilley, or auto zone has this gasket. I cant wait another week on a stupid gasket again and put the car on hold again. Anyone know a mitsu part number for a turbo outlet gasket on an MHI Evo3 16g turbo? Not the 02 housing but coming right off the turbo. Thanks ALSO, why are the wastegate flapper area and the turbo outlet separate on the turbo outlet area, if it just goes into the 02 housing part and is free flowing with each other, why is it separate at first? If it was one big hole the, why would it matter?

you are talking about modifying the o2 housing for better flow. Thats the cure to boostcreep, well one of the remedies. The housing is separated so that wastegate gases travel and are recirculated. You are right you would have better flow, there are several o2 housing that eliminate that area, but if you are running an aftermarket o3 housing most likely it flows better then any of the stock ones.

Your questions are a bit confusing, about what gasket to get. pictures would help a whole lot.

Heres a pic. I just meant, why are there 2 separate holes at this end of the turbo. One bing the wastegate flapper area and the actual exhaust part. The turbo back exhaust i have these two outlets just free flow together into the exhaust "02 eliminated". I guess its just a dumb question kinda. You need the wastegate flapper hole i guess or it wouldnt be there. So the gasket part number i was looking for would be the metal gasket that mates from this part of the EVO3 turbo to the 02 or the rest of the turbo back exhaust. I wanted a part number to try to get it from a dealer tomorrow. Thanks for breaing with me and trying to answer that question. Its no big deal i guess. I just need a part number for that metal gasket i guess. Thank you
