Hey guys, first off let me say i have researched alot and still cant decide wich clutch is right for my car.. My car currently has the NT tranny tore out of it and is getting a turbo tranny swap done to it along with a new clutch and lightweight flywheel all work done by me! :D I was at first stuck on a ACT 2600 with street disc but then i read some stuff that it may be hard to adjust and the pedal effort is pretty crazy, so then i thought of getting a Centerforce DF clutch but i also read some bad things about them and on their website it says not to use a lightweight flywheel with that clutch as a DD. The car had a ACT 2100 with street disc and i thought that was decent but i need a beefier clutch because my car is going to have a lot more mods done to it in the near future. My goal horsepower is atleast 400 to the wheels when im done with it and i also want a lightened flywheel while im in there, any help will be great i have to make a decision here in about a week so i need opinions! Also do i have to re-balence the engine after putting on a lightweight flywheel to compensate for the heavier stock flywheel?
-Thanx guys! :thumb:

I have driven a few different combinations and I really like the ACT 2600lb pressure plate with the street disk. That's what I currently have in my car and have had it for about 5 years, and I love it. It has a nice, heavier than stock pedal feel and smooth engagement which is never grabby.:thumb: Once you get adjusted to the heavier pedal it's not too bad. It's not like it's so hard to push in that your leg is sore after driving somewhere. I haven't personally experienced any problems with adjustment either.;)

Yea, I'm with Gravedigger on this one. And in fact if you have a lightened flywheel, the pedal should not be too stiff at all. My feels slightly heavier than stock and I love it. Handles my (close to) 400awhp nicely.

Ok thanx guys, i think i might just go with that. Did you guys have to replace your pedal assembly and was it difficult to adjust or did you have to to anything to compensate for the heavier pressure plate? This is going to be the first clutch job ive ever done and i really want to make sure i get the right clutch along with doin right the first time :thumb:

Ive also read that in 1G's a ACT2600 eats at pedal assemblies and i dont want that, is there a good alternative clutch to a 2600 that anyone has tried?

anyone? i only have a week to decide
