Hey, I have searched the forums for this and found nothing, I don't know what it could be.

The car has started to shake really bad while letting out the clutch to go in reverse.. does not do this in any other gears.

I have an 8lb flywheel, 2600 clutch, stock tranny.

Just did a little test and if I rev it to say, 2k it doesn't do it... just if I try and let the clutch out with the rpms down it will. But I let the clutch out in 1st at idle and it was smooth as butter.

If anyone has an explanation for this, I'm all ears, or I guess eyes in this case.

I would have guessed clutch slipping, but I'm not sure since it only does it in reverse.:hmm:

So, ironically enough.. on my way out to the shop to check out the problem, it got a little worse, and ended up having to trailer the car out there. Not sure what is wrong now.

I took a hard right turn and the whole car started shaking like crazy, then evened itself back out.. a few seconds later the car revved up like it was in neutral, though it was still in gear. Trailered it to the shop, and one tranny bolt was nearly backed out, so I tightened it, started the car and heard this horrible grind everytime the clutch was pushed in, and when I would try and put it in gear. The grind eventually quit.
I shut the car off and put it in gear and started the car, just to see what would happen. It didn't go anywhere, even when I let out the clutch.

So based on that, should I assume the problem is the tranny, or the clutch? Just an FYI.. I have a pretty new 8lb fidanza flywheel, act 2600 clutch, new slave and master cylinders.

I just rebuilt the engine, is it possible I put my clutch in backwards?? I have about 650 miles on it right now.
