Im buying the jmfab adapter plate for my dsm style jm intake mani. I need to know where I can buy the throttle body? Ive been searching and all i can find it stuff on the nissan forums. And also what size injectors should I run with my 35r. I have 780's but im hitting 115% injector duty around 20 psi. Let me know thanks.

i would make sure that it has the TPS. i personally haven't had any problems with ebay. just make sure you use PP with a credit card, thats about that best way to buy stuff off ebay.

I'd trust ebay more then some random guy on a Nissan forum. Craigslist is another spot you can get anything on. I'd check prices online ($100-$150?) and then call junkyards first. You might get lucky and find one local.

i would say its a nice upgrade over the stock piece, and its cheaper than the other TB of that size

So you bought an adapter to put a q45 on your stock flanged intake? You would have been better off buying an intake manifold with a q45 flange on it already.

well no because if i had bought the intake mani with the q45 flange and then bought the t body it would of ran me another 700. I already have the jm mani with the stock flange. So I just went with that for now.

I have heard of people using the plates to go from Q45 to stock but not the other way around. I would think thats alot of bottle necking going from 90mm back to 60mm. Kiggly went into the 8's on a 1G TB. Id just get ahold of Buschur or FFWD and get the 1G bored to 63mm so its a full 2.5" straight through with no restrictions or bottle necks. If you want to do it that bad just to say you have a Q45 id see if JMfab could open your inlet and tap it for the Q45 so its done right.

I was just going to say that the Q45 is definitely overkill. A stock 1g without being bored is more than enough for any application.

I'm sure you can get it for cheaper. I remember seeing a site of a group of people that rebuild the DSM TB's and they come out looking crazy nice and it wasn't that bad of pricing I don't think. Wish I knew the website still. :[

EDIT: DSM THrottle Bodys Thank you google.

Its not really if you have a build engine or not. If you have a 90mm TB and a 52mm opening your just restricting and may bog down. Sounds like your looking in the wrong place for a rebuild. Look for a new TB ($30-60) or check out dsmtalk. His name is Red1991TSI and he is a mod and will do it for $60. Even if you went to Buschur's they are $200 for the bore and rebuild which is alot cheaper then spending another $600 and a new SMIM.

Does he do as good of a job as them? If so, I need to have a word with him. LOL.

Get a used one for $20 and put the q45 on the shelf until it's ready to be used. It won't idle, your throttle response will be horrible, and I wouldn't be surprised if the throttle plate couldn't open all the way with that much of a overlap.
