ok i have a few questions...

What degree paint can we get for the valve cover?
How do you take the valve cover off.

where is my BOV because i heard that the 2Gs come stock with them..

I just used duplicolor engine enamel for my valve cover. ( i believe thats what its called)
but any paint that can handle some heat should work.
There are probably around 8 10 mm bolts around the valve cover, its pretty easy.
and the blow off valve is just the plastic piece of shit that should be recirculated to your intake...
it should be pretty easy to find if you know what to look for.

Please search next time you have questions like this, as you could easily have found the answers.
To take the valve cover off, you obviously take off the bolts that hold it on. Just make sure to get a new gasket when putting a new one back on. As far as where your BOV is, I'm just going to let you find that one on your own.

You do have a stock BOV, even 1g comes with them. You can Identify it by following the thick hose going to your intake with a flat spot on it. The BOV is plastic. Just follow that hose about 5 inches and you hit it. Let me know if you need a picture.

As far as degrees goes for the valve cover im not sure, always got mine powder coated, just make sure you bake the valve cover in the oven after you've painted it with that high temp paint to set it good.

Paint looks like sh1t after a few months.Powder coat it and be done.

no need for powdercoating here.
just sand and paint it really good and hopefully youll be fine.

i would agree with empie1 that powder coating is way better and last longer than paint
and the bov is by the pass side fender you can't miss it.

Don't feel too stupid. That photo is actually from the 2nd thread that I started after just joining. I didn't know what it was and wondered if that unhooked hose was causing my idle problems.

Good story.Paint chips and fades, its envitable.You have absolutly no argument that paint is good as powder coating, specifically with hot, engine parts.

*Edit* Just saw in your profile your rockin the pacesetter mani and xtd clutch components.Guess your just doing things as cheap as possible.Im more into quality and only having ot do things once, its much cheaper/easier in the long run.Id rather powdercoat my valve cover and never worry about it again, than to paint it and gradually have it look crappier.
