Im Looking into ordering this turbo that i have heard sooooo much about! I have read nothing but great things about it. The only question i have right now is, with my whole exhaust set up im still without a downpipe. The 16g turbo wont be in my pocession for a little while now since my car still has a few necessites that have to be taken care of before more exstensive mods. So, to the point, i want to get a downpipe for my 14b to complete the exhaust but im worried i will have to get another downpipe when i get the 16g if it needs a different size. Doed anyone know if the downpipe for the 14b will fit a 16g? Let me know! THanks people! :D

Gonna need more than a dremel to port the exhaust side. I'd recommend an electric heavy duty die grinder.

+1 For the Evo3 16g turbo. First turbo I had on my colt and it was amazing! But to solve boost creep I followed a write up on this website on where to port with a die grinder and my creep went away!

If you want to save some cash you could go out to Lowes, Big Lots, Home Depot or Harbor Freight Tools and pick up a corded dremel and some carbide tips and just go to friggen town. Or you could send your parts to a company like slowboy or something and I think they pffer some porting services.

Hmmm i dont think either of those are my favorite of ideas. Not saying there no good. I just dont think porting anything myself is going to turn out the best and sending it out would have my care immobile and i need to drive to work to make money to pay for this stuff haha. Soooo anybody else have any ideas on any places for port jobs? Specifically in the central GA region? Well to get back on the subject, im most likely going to go with and ebay tubular one or the evo III. Any body have and experience with either one they could give out some opinions on?

Is yours air or electric?

Their air tools seem to do fine if they're maintained. I have a cheap air cutoff tool I bought years ago for small jobs that I didn't want to wear out my Craftsman cutoff tool on, and it's still doing great. It doesn't have the power of the Craftsman tool (bogs down easily), but for cutting small bolts and tubing it works great. It's much lighter than the Craftsman tool also!

Harbor Freight's electric tools, on the other hand, leave alot to be desired. My buddy bought a $20 angle grinder from Harbor Freight that literally lasted 5 minutes before it started to lose power and began shooting blue sparks out the side. It still worked at that point, but trhe next time he tried to use the grinder it didn't work at all.

I'm currently using a carbide bit to cut through my o2 housing and it goes through it like butter with an air powered die grinder, if I were you I'd invest in a small-ish air compressor just because it's worth its weight in gold when it comes to working on the car in general.

Nothing beats electric:D My Milwaukee 5 amp/120 volt die grinder is big with tons of power and never bogs down. My little 1/4 h.p. air die grinder from sears bogs, and my 30 gallon sears compressor can't keep up with it anyway without continually cycling. For the real heavy duty stuff, I use electric. I like pneumatics when it is in a shop environment with dedicated air supplies.

I probably should oil the damned bearings on my electric but I'm lazy that way. It doesn't have multispeed adjustment but then again you want full speed otherwise you get alot of chatter. It's what I call a use and forget tool. It wasn't cheap, but I beat the hell out for +5years and it is still going strong. I hate cheap tools.

It still baffles me as to how big the 2G O2 housing WG passage is compared to the Evo 3's passage. As if the T25 really needed that much room.
