I saw an ad off of this site pointing to a damn good price on some Crower 272 cams ($350). I can't beat that price, and probably going to take that up. As it sits, the engine is out of the car and ready to slap it in in minutes, since I'm in my garage right now.
I have a set of Prothane Motor/Trans Mounts going into the car either way, and I deleted the balance shaft after the front one ate the bearing giving me a bunch of hell. I understand that deleting the balance shaft adds some vibration, and I would figure that the Prothane Mounts would only intensify it.
I'm contemplating buying the Crower Cams RIGHT NOW... as in minutes from now. I'm wondering how bad of vibration am I going to expect. Now, I'm not a novice when it comes to cammed cars. I've owned a couple 350 3rd Gen and LT1 cammed F-Bodies. A little car shaking isn't much of an issue for me.
So my question is... am I looking at tolerable but somewhat noticeable vibration, or teeth chattering shaking from this setup????
