I just got a set of auto belts out of a junk yard car.

The drivers side works great, trouble free.

The passenger side however does not work at all. I do not hear the relay clicking at all. Not even any motor movement, like you would get if it was burnt up. I can move the track with an allen key on the gearbox.

I did the pin out tests listed here: http://img234.echo.cx/img234/8496/page27ls.jpg

I don't understand how you are supposed to get battery voltage at the terminals listed, it goes into no detail. I have continuity at all the correct terminals.

I pulled the relay off the passenger side and put it on the drivers side and it works properly, so I can eliminate that.

I'm thinking its the brain box, but its seems odd that one side would work perfect and the other would be dead.

What is used to switch the belts? Is there a trigger in the latch mechanism itself?

Has anyone else seen just one side go dead? I'm going to try and put battery voltage directly to the motor tomorrow to see if I can eliminate that as a problem.

Tested the motor, works perfectly.

I still cant figure out how the door triggers the belts. I can see switch of sorts in the latch mechanism, but I can get it to trigger on the drivers door, making me think it may ground out on the striker when closed.

If I could figure out how to trigger the belts using whatever switches it normally uses, I can eliminate wiring and the brain box, which I would like to do.

Fixed.

Again, the dumbass that owned the car before me (or more than likely the ricer that owned it before him) went touching shit.

I pulled the door card off and the switch in the latch mechanism was just disconnected and dangling there.
