NOOOO! I hate when other people start posting up about going to the track on a day I want to go, now its gunna be packed.. Never tell people when you are going to the track if you want to get in more runs.. :shhh: This is a known rule Derek...:nono:

does anybody have the rule book for sac? I tried going to their website to downloaded it but my computer keeps refusing it. :(

You need a helmet below 13.9 right? Also what about tint? Is tint allow on any windows on the car?

Oh yeah also what kind of helmet do I need? Any kind of motorcycle helmet? I seen a $60 helmet at target I might pick that up.

i believe snell certified within the last 8 years on the helmet. Correct, anything faster than 14.0 Ive gotten away with regular helmets at infineon, then i bought a real deal racing one. If you are going to pick one up you might as well spend the $150 or so and get a good one. I got an open face one that i strictly use for drag racing, if i rode motorcycles i probably would have used a full face, but i dont so i got something that i could breath in while being in a hot car with the windows rolled up.
This is the one i have eBay Motors: G-Force 5402XLGWH Helmet Open Face XLarge White Each (item 220287944910 end time Oct-29-08 20:40:42 PDT)

They say no window tint on the front, but i have tint all the way around and ive never had problems.

No shorts or sandals, but its not too strictly enforced if you are running in the 13's.

looking at that ebay add, its a snell m2005 certification... i think i would get a NEW one from summit as its probably certified later. Like i said the certs only last x amount of years so getting a newer one is better as it lasts longer.

ApexVIII You should be in the 12's with the mods you have. My car ran a 13.6 on the 14b with the boost at 17psi and a 3" exhaust the rest of the car was stock.

What are the rules at a test & tune about cages? Do you need one for 11.49 and faster still?

from SacRacway's site

All drivers must have a valid state driver's license.
All vehicles must pass a basic NHRA ET Bracket safety inspection. For a full listing of requirements, consult an NHRA Rulebook.
A single co-driver is permitted in vehicles running slower than 14.00 seconds. Co-drivers must be at least 16 years old and must sit in the front seat.
All drivers and co-drivers must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves (no tank tops).
SFI approved helmets are required for all vehicles running quicker than 14.00 seconds.
Significant additional requirements including but not limited to a roll bars and driver's jackets are required for vehicles quicker than 11.50 seconds.
Motorcycle racers slower than 10.99 seconds are required to wear a heavy jacket, gloves, helmet with eye protection, and shoes covering the tops of the ankles. Significant additional requirements including full leathers are required for motorcycles quicker than 10.99 seconds.

All the grudge/TnT I've been to they are kinda relaxed on the rules compaired to wednesday nights.

Have any of you guys been to a Test N Tune lately? I'm wondering what the track prep is like? I'm thinking of going this Sat and see what the car can do.
