ok ok i know there is a bunch of these allways up but i have sat here for about an hour reading posts and no one has the same side effects as my car.
last weekend i was cruising around for a while and i stopped at a local spot and clouds of white smoke was creeping out of my exhaust:tease:. found out it was vary low on oil (my valve cover has a small crack in it) threw in about a quart and a half and the smoke went away till tonight. i pulled up to sonic and when i parked everything was good car shut off ate started it back up and put it in reverse and right when i did that clouds of white smoke started coming out of my exhaust shut it off threw in some more oil went away started boostin it around town and when i got home there was a constant white smoke coming out so i checked my turbo there is no shaft play my coolant reserve tank is full changed my oil and it wasnt milky looking. have not run a compression test on it but last weekend it was 145 for all 4 cyl. some other tuners said it smells like metal rubbing on metal and a lil coolant:dsm:

White smoke is typically a sign of burning coolant or coolant loss. I noticed you put a lot of oil in a short amount of time. I am thinking the same thing as him it could be shaft play in and out. An it could also be valve seals not likely but hey it could happen. I know my friend had a 16g on his from ebay an he would start it an it would smoke just sitting there for about 5 min an he though the head was blown so we first replaced the turbo with a 14 b an it stopped smoking.

ok so a couple hours under the hood and there is no shaft play on the turbo but i flushed my radiator and the coolant had some oil in it:nono: so i put new coolant in it and started it up. little white smoke out the exhaust and when i started reving it up to about 4k and noticed my exhaust was spitting out what looked like water  did a compression check and it was 140 135 140 140 so im guessing it is the headgasket :notgood: im pretty sure those are the signs. anyone know of a good head gasket to buy? i bought the hks metal head gasket 3 months ago and it is already out
