We didn't quite reach our goal of an 8 second pass, but I'm starting to think it is next to impossible on these tires and the factory IRS suspension configuration. It launched pretty hard (Best 60' 1.45) but as soon as it hit second which was out of the traction compound it was all over the place. We may try again this season, but it's getting a solid axle and bigger tires this winter for sure!

Edit: I forgot to mention this pass was at about 830whp as anything more would simply overpower the tires at half track.

154MPH with an automatic RWD car should be good enough for 8.80's

Still impressive!

Whoa, I missed this somehow. A solid axle with some anti-squat will probably do wonders at the gear change, even more so at the launch. When the ass end squats that hard it's unloading tires reducing traction. You'll see huge gains from that without ever turning up the power knob. :)

Congrats on the low 9s! Next year should be a good one for you guys...

Please keep it IRS, If a Supra can do it you guys can do it! Oh man i can't wait till i see the car again..

If it was mine, the first pass would've had a 9" in it already. Using the stock rearend makes no sense to me at all.

Great job though guys, the car is amazing. The sound of it running when I was standing right next to it in your shop was incredible, and when left the car show in rogers driving it down the road.

I watched the vid and noticed it didnt sound like a rotary, then read the profile and seen it has a dsm motor in it. COOL! Nice pass!Good luck on the 8s

Supra's can go high 7's on stock IRS OMG (still being manually shifted in H pattern)

I know that, 7.91 at 189 mph to be precise, SW is a Good driver, Anyone remember Adam Sawurati with the FD RX7 a few years ago, he was running 9s with the IRS & 5 speed trans making less power or Ari yallon with the RX7.com car, If they can do it MAP can sure go faster.... Plus it be real nice that a DSM powered car takes the IRS tittle :sneaky:
