Date has been set. We're shooting for Sunday, Oct 19 at 6pm. Destination has been decided. It'll be Grand East Buffet on Rt 18. Post that you're going and I'll add you on.

Fall is here and winter will soon be settling upon us. For some of the fortunate, it means putting up the cover and letting the DSM hibernate in the garage all winter. For others, like me, we're hardcore and endure the rain, sleet, snow, road salt for winter and then some. But one thing holds true whether you run it or not in the icy colds of Old Man winter. It sucks balls to be outside and looking at cars.

So let's get one last meet in before we call it quits and huddle over the engine bay for warmth. Let's hear some suggestions. I'm looking at possibly, maybe the last Sunday in October which would be the 26th. It should be hoodie/light jacket weather. As for location, we had it at Red Robin for the past 2, maybe 3 meets and it's always lunch so maybe we can change it up a little bit. How does dinner sound? Maybe somewhere along Rt 1 or Rt 18 for some good eating. Throw in suggestions. Time will be considered later. Post this on other forums as well.

There's some buffets on Rt 18. Old Town Buffet I believe. There's also some Japanese sushi buffet further along the highway as well.

The last day for Island Dragway is Nov. 23rd I believe on a Sunday. I think everyone can agree we wanna do it on a Sunday right? Less chance of work and what not.

Normally the last couple test and tunes of the season are dead at island and there shouldn't be to many unmuffled drag cars there and incase your running slicks or exhaust cut outs you'll just have to run in the lanes with the drag cars while all the guys with street tires and radials run in the others. 2 weeks ago I could have gotten about 7-10 passes in with my dads 57 chevy but we had some chassis issues and I wanted to be with family and what not instead of in line the hole day

Silly people Besides, Elizabeth isn't that far anyway, I'd consider that a pretty normal commute time to get to a meet.

here's an idea and I'm just throwing it out there, but the evo guys have done a couple of these:

car wash meet in the morning at a place i think in hackettstown, then they take a ride over to hot dog johnnies on rt 31 and then from there they head to island. Kinda gives people the option of what they want to do

if the meet is at hackettstown i'd be down, becuz i could just hit up the sk8park then head out for a meet. My car should be up and running by then.
