I bought the SBR 2g install kit for the 16g and I just got a FMIC. Now, the j-pipe that came with the kit is for the SMIC and I need one for the FMIC. Is it possible to use the SMIC j-pipe with a FMIC or is the engine mount and fan shrouds in the way??

Anything is possible but sometimes not worth doing. If your jpipe is like all the other typical jpipes for SMIC's, its going to be a pain to try & get it over to a drivers side inlet FMIC. You could route the pipe under the cross member but not something I would recommend doing. Easiest & best route would be to just pick up a proper Jpipe for a FMIC setup.

Does your piping go in front of the engine and around the driver's side?

If so, it would be easier for you to just sell the pipe you have and buy one that's made for a FMIC. You CAN use the one you have, but it will probably get in the way of the fans if you try to run the piping back toward the driver's side.

I had one of the pipes that comes up, and around the drivers side. The jpipe itself hits the a/c fan. :(

I just hacked the lower ic pipe to be shorter, and connected it with a 90* pipe.

Dude just save your time and headaches buy a j-pipe made for a FMIC. Sell the one you have and pick one up used or new. Extreme psi and dejon powerhouse have some for sale.
