[RESOLVED] Does anybody recognize these valves?

I have a couple of random heads apart at the moment, and both heads have similar valves in them, which I can't seem to find anywhere on the internet. I'm curious as to the origin of these valves.

The valves have the following stamped on them near the top of them:

P3439HPC: Intake valves
P3438HPC: Exhaust valves

Any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated!!

The only information I could find on them is that they are factory OEM replacements; nothing more based on the part numbers.

Tim,
Where'd you find your info? I'm still looking for something, ANYTHING on these valves....I have not had much luck. What's your source??

Well, google works; but I also had these valves with the same part number in the previous head I had on my car for several years.

P3439 and P3438 are the model numbers for the intake and exhaust valves. These numbers are fairly widely used for stock size replacement valves.

For Example, my EPN racing valves (EBAY Stainless Steel, chrome coated,swirl-polished, stock-sized, back-cut valves) had this part number, and I remember the nitrided ones had the "N" suffix on them, the inconel ones had a "I" suffix on them, and if I remember correctly, the ceramic coated ones had a "HPC" suffix on them.

They are actually pretty decent valves, as they come out of the same factory as the Ferreas and others come from.

Either way, are your valves ceramic coated or nitrided or are they just stainless-steel chrome-plated ones?

Thanks for the info! I had no idea how "general" these valves actually are. There are more of them out there than I thought. It's safe to say these valves are responsible for more than a few 9 second passes........:laser:
