I am having trouble with my boost gauge light. It only comes on less than half the time, and will occasionally flicker on while driving (when it wasn't lighting). The boost gauge itself works fine, and is taped into something coming out of the fuel rail (that is right.... right?). Anyways, I took my center console side cover off, because I assumed the previous owner had used the ciggarette lighter light. I found a huge mess of wires, and a lot of electrical tape, and a lot that heat shrink wrap. I followed the mess of wires, and they went way back underneath the center box. I found a thing that had a little light on it, and had no idea what that was for. After fiddling with all the connections, It still doesn't work. Any common problems like this? What could be the problem?

Thanks for any input!

My boost gauge works, but doesn't light up. And my oil pressure gauge lights up, but doesn't work. Only on a dsm...... :)
