Hey guys. I bought a 420a/Neon Megasquirt but my car is a 96 Talon with a 7 bolt (4g63) I'm building. I need to mod this Megasquirt to work with my 4g63.

The Megasquirt says on the bottom....

MS3-0277.
Neon/420a.
255kpa Map.
MSnSpark Extra Version: 029v

I've been told by quite a few people that there are quite a few "mods" needed to be done to make it work on my 2G 4g63, such as adding input for the CAS, and a few others I know nothing about. The megasquirt is brand new and un-opened and was professionally built for/by RS-Autosport. I've been told it was a MS-I with v3.0

I also have a MSD DIS-2 that I plan to be running with my MegaSquirt. If anyone knows a professional person, or business who can do these mods for me at a reasonable price please let me know ASAP so I can get this taken care of as RS-Autosport is not returning my emails :(

Thanks.

I've decided to ship off my MegaSquirt to SynTech Lab and have them do it for me. Hell it's only $35

:)

when wiring it to the car do you just cut n splice
the wires. or do they make a 6 inch jumper that
you can hack rather than hacking the stock
harness. like what they make for the EVO.
does anyone make one for the eclipse?

You can take an old ECU and tke the connector off of it and make it into a harness, but it's time consuming and still looks hidious. I always just use the MS wiring harness with pigtails from DIYautotune and solder it to the vehicle harness. You have to solder it in or you will have issues with the MS. And $35 to fix your MS is cheap. Make sure you know what ignition mods they used and ask them how it needs to be wired for your igniton and also setup in Megatune as weather it needs to be inverted or not. They should know what you are asking if you ask them that.

OR you could just wait for PnP MSnS for the 420a. ;)

Well I got my MS back from Paul with a list of things he did to it and how to hook it up to my 4g63. I'm happy it was taken care of so easily and very inexpensively! Now to put it over on the shelf where it will probably sit for a little while, while I get the rest of my engine parts.
