Tbolts alone won't do shit on shiny or glossy pipes. You can actually tigthen a tbolt enough to crush the pipe, and still blow the hose off.
Scuff up polished or powdercoated pipes. That usually does the job with a t-bolt clamp. If you still have trouble, try the hair spray. While the stiff works great, I usually save it until the last option, it can be a pain in the ass to get the hoses off later after you use it.
