Wondering who are all the MI DSM'ers making the trip and if there is a convoy set up yet and where the MI groups are staying.

I'll be going. Don't know if I'm going with the Empire Evo's from here or by myself. Depends on when Dave, Greg, and Jarrod want to leave.

don't think i am going to go but if i do i might have the DSM togather by then if not i will take my EVO

Empire guys always go down together i don't know what time yet but if the weather is going to be bad up north i will go south to the shoot out.

More or less i don't know what i am doing yet ;)

well I plan on going for the first time. I am hopeing I have my torque converter, motor mounts and shift box all done by that friday. I plan on leaving friday sometime.....if I had an idea when everyone was meeting downstate I could meet up with everyone so I'm not a lone dsm all the way.

Any tips/things I need to know about my first shoot out experience?

Bring commonly used tools, and fluids. Just in case. ;)

I'll PM you my cell around that time, so you'll be able to coordinate with our convoy and meet up with us downstate. :thumb:

Bring water for you and the car.

You will need it the morning after.

Ya I figured bringing tools and fluids.....god knows something will happen just hopefully nothing too big.

Thanks Paul....Id like to go to the meet this weekend but that is a long drive for me plus the car needs to be finished.

1. NRP's food is expensive, but it's really really good. I recommend the pulled/BBQ pork sammiches.

2. If you see Canadians with fireworks.... stay away. They're crazy.

3. If you see Paul (or anyone, really) setting up a Ping-Pong table, it's not going to be used for table tennis.

Bring your A-game.

4. Have a good time. Don't speed. Don't be a dick in Norwalk. (See Dave B.'s warnings to those who DO want to be dicks at his event.) Don't take an open intox container off hotel property. Don't eat at Arby's. Don't even go near Arby's.

I don't think we have any of the convoy details planned yet, though. I'm sure it will be the main focus after our club meet this coming Sunday.

If you wouldn't mind, could you post the itinerary you guys come up with?

Don't eat at Arby's. Don't even go near Arby's.

That really is too bad, too. They are losing a lot of money from me - I'm a roast-beef eating machine. I'll have to get my fix en-route then, I suppose.

Mr. Boxx are you planning on going? If so when do you plan to leave? Are you leaving from Beaverton.......if so we should meet up and drive to the convoy .

Do you still talk to Casey with the red 99 gsx? (mr. boxx)

I'll be leaving from Midland. If you want to meet up, that'd be very cool. I haven't talked to Casey in a few years; maybe not since the '04 Shootout or shortly thereafter.

Mr. Boxx......that would be great . I could meet with you and others in Midland or where ever. Where are you guys staying? I need to make reservations before its too late.

I think I'm either going to pull an all-nighter OR just grab a few hours of sleep in my car. I haven't decided yet. :)

Dave and Jarrod should be going. Jarrod might be bringing the auto-cross car. He mentioned once that he wants it to run a 10 on the stock turbo. :D Another Evo owner, Greg, might be coming too. He's a pretty cool guy, who just changed his clutch and MAY be running a brand new FP turbo. I have no idea what their schedule is. I'll talk to them and see when they're leaving.

Haha...now thats funny. Well I plan on staying till sunday to get the full effect for the first time....as long as the car holds up!!!! Do you work in Midland? How often? Pm me your number and Ill get ahold of you soon to get things figured out for sure.

Paul. How did the meet go? Were the convoy plans discussed? Let us know.....

Dave is probably going to be bringing Das Boot to the Shootout this year. He says the AMS guys MAY be doing Boots of Jager.

BTW, we do Das Boot for time. The record so far is a 24 oz. Boot (Bud Light) in about 5.6 seconds.

It was pretty cool. We met at the bowling alley, hung out for a while and then cruised to get ice cream. Now, we only mentioned that we need to figure out convoy deatils soon. It never got past that - yet. Hopefully we'll have a plan by this coming weekend.

Hey P do we have a plan for a table this year?
We don't plan on bringing the table this year. Taking it a bit easier this year, plus I'll have my car.

You're more than welcome to enjoy a nice Boot, Paul. :)

Is there still camping at the track allowed? Someone said they weren't doing that this year. If there is, then yeah, I have a tent that I can bring.

if there is camping at the track allowed I'm there! Hearing the sound of boosting in the destince while sleeping is like a music to my ears......
