Hey everyone I had a few quick questions and wanted to know if anyone has any experience with Borg Warner turbos. I have my eye on the s200 50 trim, but to be honest I don't know too much about the actual turbo specs (in general). I heard it has excellent spool time and people seem to love it.

Will this be a big change from my s16g?

Is it possible to get as a direct bolt on?

Is it much bigger than the s16g?

Sorry if these seem like very trivial questions, but this turbo really caught my attention and was hoping people could help out with any helpful input...

I read up on all the threads on this forum talking about them, but like I said since I have limited experience with other turbos besides the 16g I really can't follow... Thanks a lot ahead of time everyone!

No one I have seen is running one on a 420a yet though. They come in t3 form which would bolt right up to your manifold you have now.

Sounds really tempting... yeah I read that thread, but I'm still wondering about the size (clearance wise). That fast spool time sounds great for the street! Thanks for the quick reply.

it's not that big you should be ok with fittment. I would look into the .70ar t3 housing with vband outlet that will make things the easiest.

it's quite a bit larger than the 16g man. It can actually eat a 16g and still make 30psi. It makes huge power and amazing torque! More than most of the other tubos in its price range.

Idk what you mean by eat a 16g and still make 30psi but like he said it's a lot bigger and will make more power than just about every turbo in it's league siize and price wise.

Wow that turbo kicks in fast and hard! It may be time for an upgrade =), but first I wanna get this car to run nice and sound! Sounds like the 4g guys love it!

Maybe another option to consider, I run a borgwarner turbo from a 6.5l diesel chevy. There are several different ones. You can get them anywhere from 75-150. It takes some work, but its an awesome turbo for the money. You can't really find a flange for the hotside to make a downpipe but someone can cut one for you. I've run the same turbo for 3 years with no issues, and I have a spare laying around that I got for 75 bucks just incase.

thats the one I have, I got mine used though, they come up often.

I have a borg warner s259 I havent had the boost no lower than 25psi and I ve had this turbo for 8months there is no shaft play what so ever. These turbos are bad ass and it spools fast and when it hits it hits hard. Im at 29psi right now on straight e85 with 24degrees of timing and im breaking all 4 wheels lose in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear. Im waiting for my new injectors and will turning up the boost to 32-35psi and see what this thing will do. These turbos are tuff. Im a previous forced performance red turbo owner. This turbo spools way faster and pulls harder than the red did. Look at the compressor maps 61-62lbs of air. Bullseye Power Turbos The new s258 has a little bit bigger compressor wheel thats way i said s259. I talked to David at Bullseye and he stated that all the s258s will have the bigger wheel and they are not going to change the name. So if you order a s258 you will get the bigger wheel.

The s258 has 70% efficiency at over 60lb/min according to the map so it is FAR over 62lb/min at the choke flow!!!

Which turbine wheel do you have? It would be nice to know that the larger s2** wheel spooled faster than the fp red. The smaller turbine wheel is smaller than the hx35 turbine wheel. So I would expect it to considering the hx35 spools to full boost by 3500rpms in the same housing and has a 60 lb/min compressor map.

I just bought a gm-8 i cant wait to bolt it up, im just having trouble finding a steel plate to make a downpipe
