I got a few things to install on my car and I need a hand. I am a little behind on installing them since school finals were in motion, but now I am all done.

anyone who can install

* Timing Belt
* Balance Shaft Belt
* Timing Belt Tensioner
* Timing Belt Idler Roller
* Balance Shaft Belt Tensioner
* GMB Water Pump

in about 2 hours on a 2g 7bolt willing to take $150 to do it?

I can handle this job, but it might take me a little more than 2 hours. I like to have the extra time just in case something doesn't come off right. Is your drivers side motor mount in good shape?

Very trustworthy and able mechanic here... Dave's helped me out with my car a bunch of times and will more in the future!

Yeah, Dave rocks. I haven't bugged him lately but that's because I haven't been working on my car lately... haha!

Thanks, Danny! I'm always glad to help. How's your car feel at 20psi now?

Car feels great, although i was show-boating in front of my friends house and i kind of rode the clutch too much on a launch, so it slipped through 1st, 2nd,and some of 3rd gear, then the car smelt like clutch for the next hour or so... :(

I havent driven it since, i wanted the clutch to cool down, i hope i didnt toast it, ive never had a act slip like that, ive torn through a couple stock clutches, but i hope the act is ok next time i drive it.

2600 maybe 10k on the disc (put it in new with my motor) 15k+ on the pressure plate

If its messed up im thinking of changing it maybe... something that will shift a little better yet is streetable (not a twin disc)

EDIT, i just did a launch through 3rd and the car felt fine. The clutch felt a little wierd after driving normally, but its probably because i warmed up the car, beat on it for 4 blocks, then drove it back home and cooled it off haha.

I'll have to do some more driving around in the car to really see if the car is messed up, but my friend just wanted a taste of what a turbo car feels like so i gave him one, then there were some cops in the area so i had to park it real quick.

how much would you charge for a timing belt and clutch job. 96 awd

i need help swapping out my centerforce dual friction and lightweight flywheel if anyone wants to step up to that. =)

Booo...twin disk is the best! They're streetable. I drove Pat's EVO around and he has a QM twin disk. Took a couple tries to get a good feel for it, but after that, it's much nicer than a stiff ACT. Plus that thing GRABS.

yeah sean was telling me the QM's are where its at for the evo's... but i havent heard much of anything about them on a DSM.

Know anyone with experience with one on a 1g awd?

Not yet. I got a PTT twin disk waiting to go on in about a month.

Not anyone local, YET. Most of the fast cars are running PTT or QM, most say they're nearly identical. I'll have a QM going in the car in about a month as well. I'll let you know how it goes.

Good to hear you got a twin disk too, Dave. How's that new motor coming along

The new motor is coming along slowly. I keep finding ways to add a few more HP, like higher compression, adjustable cam gears, crank scraper, etc. Doing a full motor and tranny rebuild always seems to take too long. It's going to be sweet once it's done.

What's your take on a full main girdle for the 6 bolt, the one kiggly offers. I'm thinking of utilizing one on my next build. Along with the beehive springs. Are you going 9.0:1 now?

14b?
Oh I might break it in with the 14b, then see how it goes.
Right before I tore down the motor I went to the track on a loaner 14b. I went 12.6 @ 109, that's how I knew the motor wasn't making the same power anymore.
12.6 on a 14b? Somethings wrong! :)
So I'll use the 14b, stock sidemount, stock injectors, etc, as a baseline. It should go faster than last time.
The new motor has 9.0 Wiseco pistons instead of 8.3
I like the new beehive springs that are out. Kiggly has some on his site, and FP has two versions on their site. I already have Crower springs and they work fine, otherwise I'd get beehive springs for sure.
Kiggly's main girdle is a good idea for a high HP motor. Many have gone fast without one, but it should add some long term durability to the bottom end.

You should make a thread about your rebuild, i'm sure many people would like to follow along. After trying out the 14b again would you be interested in trying a Evo8 or 9 turbo?

I have a PTT on the way, it will go in in the next couple weeks. Then back to the track.

have you been going to the track without telling anyone?

This whole time i thought the dsm scene at infineon was dead...

Let me know when you are going to the track people!!! i want an excuse to go, but i dont want to chop it up with idiots with hondas the whole time!!! haha

This thread totally went in a whole different direction...haha.

Pat, it's a good amount of work to get an evo turbo. Clearance is a big issue
