Transmittion gears

Are all transmittion gears the same? What I mean can you if you wanted to change out gears in your trans go get like GM or Ford ones an use in our trans?

No. the shafts inside the trans are made to a specific diameters and thicknesses and what not. Plus if you wanted to swap out a gear you not only have to swap the gear itself but you need the mating input or intermediate shaft. Shoot, even some of our gears aren't interchangeable between models! Not to mention the hub/sliders you would need to engage the gear along with the syncro rings and so on.
