afpr ?

hey guys. i hooked up my afpr. everythings all good so far. But my ? is the little black box thing. sorry i don't know what its called that the vacuum line comes from that you attach to the afpr. Does that aways create a vacuum? Cause i noticed some times when i was stop to adjust it i pull the vacuum line off the box to adjust it and the little black box isn't sucking? is there something wrong? or is that how its suppose to be? Thanks

When I adjust the fuel pressure with my afpr, I always take the line off of the fpr itself adjust it put on the vacuum line and readjust it as much as necessary. Is you fuel pressure dropping when you pull the vacuum line off?

Doesn't it increase when the vac line is off?

yes it does increase when you pull the vacuum line off. It will show the change from vacuum to no vacuum.

I just realized i set my fuel pressure wrong. Your suppost to set the base fuel pressure with the vacuum line off then put the vacuum line on and the fuel pressure will drop. I set my idle fuel pressure to 37, so I will go change that.

Yeah. thats how i set mine. vac off set it at 43.5 psi for the 2nd g. Plugged it back in and drops to arond 38 like it should. but i noticed that sometimes when i check it with the vac line on yet it read 43.5 which it shouldn't. it should read 38 still. right? And then i'll take the vac hose off the little black box that the vac line goes to and it won't b sucking?

Im going to take a look at how you installed it and get back to you.

I couldnt see anything that you did wrong in your installation. show us some pics of the vacuum lines to the fpr.

Did you ever find the problem? Maybe leaking vacuum hoses.

I made mine so it would read 37 psi at idle with the vacuum line connected. Where your suppose to take the vac line off and set it to 37 then it is supposed to drop.
