Has anyone ever tried this? a Surge Performance Chip, its from Auto Body Kits Car Parts Accessories Spoilers and Police Headlights and apparently it jus hooks into your ECU and into your AIT and O2 Sensors. says gains up to 35 HP and is dyno proven, let know me know what you guys think

Add up to 35 Horse Power - usually 7-10% power gain
Add up to 20+ Ft LBS of Torque
Fully adjustable for either Horsepower or Gas Mileage via Knob
More low end torque
More power to tow or race
1-4 MPG Savings
Faster 0-60 MPH times
Faster 1/4 and 1/8th mile track times
Faster Acceleration at all RPM
Up to 20% quicker throttle response time
Smoother shifting (Automatics only)

Did you read this part?

"# Will this module fit my 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl, 10cyl?
# The Surge Module will fit all engine sizes and types for this make of vehicle, providing they are fuel injected and not turbo or not diesel.

Oh come on....Slap a 16g on that beast, Screw 4g63s :p, But no if you want easy cheap performance go for it:thumb:

you have no idea how bad id love to boost my 420A i jus dont have the $$ to get a turbo kit, plus trading my N/T car strait up for a already boosted car, cant really beat that

If the talon is that cheap its probably to good to be true... I cant even do a even trade to a nice awd turbo. (believe me i tryd)

to Car_guy: I agree with you, Ibelive its mostly cause 4g63s have plenty more support than 420as.

To Suzuki: If i were you id totaly trade for that awd Tsi, only that wouls suck more is gas.....and insurance. But hey better than putting at that money into the 420a.Then again im just trying to get 15.3s or lower so im not shooting for nothing extraordinary

But is it turbo? Thats where it gets pricey....

I know. Ive got someone elses 97 rs in the garage right now doing a full build and turbo conversion with msns. Its a custom setup, not a kit. Therefore, it has gotten pricey, but its nice.

Im also at the point in my car and my new build that everytime I buy something new, it is at least $500+. I have run out of cheap parts to buy/replace.

Yea nearly everything on my car is custom or atleast modified in some way or another, But its worth it to see the look on peoples face when i say "its just an ESI" :p

I have owned both and I think my 4g63 was more expensive because you pay so much for the car then swap out all the stuff thatakes the car expensive anyway. Only reason I would go out of my way to own another 4g63t would be for another awd in good condition unlike my old car :notgood: or a vr4 galant.

Sorry for bumping up and old post but don't waste your money on these. I was thinking about getting a performance chip too, but it looks like these things don't do crap. I was reading this performance chip article about it, and it looks like these things don't work at all
