will 12.5" rotors fit into stock rims?

I have the 17inch stock swirlies, thinking of getting the power slot plus big brake upgrad for front and rear, rear ones are 11.5" but front ones are like 12.5" rotors, will they fit into my stock rims?

Also I've never changed rotors, will it be hard to do it myself?

You will be perfectly fine. The big brake kits require 17 inch rims for the rotors so your 12.5 inch rotors will be fine.

not hard to do if you know what your doing . just need to take off the hub if i remember right. i think it uses a 30 something size and take off the brake calipers. and slide the rotors off. and put your new ones back on. correct me if i am missing something anyone. to do all 4 shouldnt take you more than an hour depends if you got air tools or doing it all by hand tools

this is pretty correct, yes its very simple to do, just make sure you take your time and do it right...not having brakes will ruin you day...haha...

ya i changed pads before, it was very simple, so I am assuming the rotors shouldnt be too bad.

Also i wanted to ask you guys, which pad u recommend i go with, for those slotted rotors? I was thinking Hawk HPS? it will be for street, daily driving, just want a bit more stopping power than stock, but i don't want the pads to wear off really quick either.
any input?

I am also going to get stainless steel brake lines, and bleed my brakes. Anything else I should do while I am at it?

And I have a drum and disk in the back, will those rotors go on no problem? Liek i have the disk, but also a drum, inside of which are my handbrakes basically.

Let me know guys, i would hate to order the part and have it not fit.

Hawk HPS are a great pad & should work well for what your looking for. I'd also completely flush the system with new brake fluid while your at it. Yes the rear rotors should fit, no problem. All 2g's that have rear disk brakes, use a drum style parking brake assembly (while the 1g's have the parking brake built into the caliper)

Daren, any idea of the GSX OZ rims would fit when doing the Evo caliper/rotor swap (specifically in the front)? I'm trying to stay as OEM-looking as possible.

thanks guys, i am going to go with those powerslot plus rotors, and hawk hps pads for my application. i am going to also just clean anything i come across, and clean and paint calipers, anything i should look out for, while i am there, any small rubber seals or anything like that i need to replace?

Are the OZ rims 17's? If so they might fit, though I'm not sure. If they do, they'll probably be a tight fit, so more then likely you just need to physically try it out & see.

When your doing the brakes just make sure all the rubbers look in good condition, the slider are good etc. If not, you can get replacement parts from the dealer. Clean everything up & use some brake lube on all the moving parts & you should be good to go.
