just finished putting the car back together about 2 weeks ago, whenever we hit boost it feels like it cuts out and hits a brick wall at about 5K. We had the mbc and it was boosting 9.3 b y the time it hit 5k, put the stock bcs on and now its hitting 14.1 but still does the same thing around 5k. took a video to help figure out what the problem is. it has a few mods, fmic w/ maft setup, 16g.

When my plug gaps were off it stuttered real bad at the higher rpms. Thought it was fuel cut myself but as soon as I fixed the gap problem all was better. Might be your problem.

boost leak test was done on the turbo.......and we just tested and watched the gauge and listened for leaks...we found a few...fixed them and everything else was perfect....

I definitely don't think its your spark plugs, because its only doing that at 5k rpm. Is your timing done right? Try leaving the wastegate wide open and see if it does any difference! Is your computer the stock one? Check your fuel pump, and your injectors. Make sure your injectors are sitting down tight. Thats all i can think off right now.

its funny that you say that because we've been talking about getting a new timing belt kit off of streettunedmotorsports because we thought it looked kinda loose. it definitely has some play up and down. also what would leaving the wastegate open do?

Compressor surge shouldn't be an issue. I would check all of the MAF-T settings to make sure all are okay. Also, do you have any fuel system mods (injectors, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump)? Your profile doesn't say. :talon:

Hmmm... well, the MAF-T should be set to your injector size...I'm not sure what the stock 450's go as far as the MAF-T setting... But, fuel cut is not your problem since you've got the MAF-T. I would try to consult the MAF-T Forums. Here is a link to the forums for the company that makes the MAF-T---> Full Throttle Tech Try to find the right settings for your setup. Post back with any findings. :talon:

I was just wondering if the knob that deals with the injector size is correct. I'm not sure what stockers are supposed to be. If my car wasn't immobile at my apartment 40 mins away, I would give a quick look.

according to the manual....its suppose to be at 2...according another member on here is suppose to be zero....i tried both and still had the same problems....another board member suggested it could the the maf itself...i might try swapping it out for another and see where the leads me!!!!im desperate at this point.

yeah im talking about the same car hahah.. sorrry for the confusion....ill try to contact fts on monday i guess and see what they say....

ya we tried that at that setting and it did the same thing. were waiting on a new maf so we can see if thats the problem. if not then were gonna start checking other things
