As far as effectiveness; im running without a heatshield on my FP right now and before the FP mani went on I had a evo3 manifold with a sbr heatshield and the engine bay temps have sky rocketed.
If im sitting in traffic for too long or at idle, my entire engine bay will be heatsoaked.
This much heat could detinitly effect the tune in terms of knock threshhold and air density. Luckily i have a cold air intake ran outside the engine bay or my IAT's would be up there.
Not to mention running with no heatshield provokes altenator or P.S. pump failure.
It would only seem logical to run a heatshield on a daily driven car.
I missed the group buy but i am ordering mines today.
Screw the bling factor, Its going to be a hot summer and i wouldnt want to be without one of these while driving as much as i do.
