I've been searching for a gauge and sensor to monitor how much ethanol is in your E"85". I've seen it in threads, but couldn't find where it was when I went back. We only get the summer blend 2 months out of the year here in michigan, and I'd like to know what I'm running and who has the best stuff.

There's a link to it in my E85 thread below this one

I don't think there's such a gauge. You yourself add E85 in the gas tank and you need it come with a ratio. But if you're about ethanol injection you don't need a gauge. An ethanol kit monitors your car base on the MAF or boost.

THere's no guage, but there is a sensor that feeds your ECU information about the ethanol content of the gas and the ECU adjusts accordingly. But you will need an ECU that supports it, the ony one i know of is the new megasquirt version, and i only learned al;l this last night, so if you work at it a little you'll learn all you need to know from searching this forum and using gool 'ol google. Read up on the link in that poist. I don't think without expensive testing equipment that you're going to know "who's got the best gas"

Get a graduated cylinder and add some E85 in, then add a known amount of water. The ethanol in the E85 will be miscible with the water while the gasoline will not. For example, get 100 mL of E85 and add 50 mL of water. If you end up with 15 mL gasoline, then you have E85.
