What is auto-crossing?.....
Auto-crossing is a form of MotorSports competition that emphasizes driving skill and handling through a course designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location such as a parking lot or race track. Cars go through the course one at a time and are electronically timed. There are various classes of cars based on a performance level. Classes range from stock to modified to purpose built racecars. While speeds are no greater than 70mph, the combination of concentration and car feedback create an adrenalin pumping experience.

Required for participants (and riders) in the auto-X:
-Car must past tech (battery is tied down, wheels on tight, ect...)
-DOT approved helmet
-18 years of age and older or parent present and signed form

Should be a good time. We had a pretty good turnout last year. Hopefully even more show this year.

i will try to make it. i don't think the talon will be roadworthy by then, though. would you guys hate me if i compete in my civic? :coy:

nope, we'll accept honda's. But you are not allowed to beat any DSM's. ;)
'Allowed to' or 'able to'? :p I have only autocrossed 3 times now. I am not that good and because of my ls integra motor swap and brake upgrades i am bumped into csp class where i cant even begin to be competitive against the miatas .
I wont even come close to any dsms. (unless maybe they are 1.8 n/a 1gs)

Wont that motor swap throw you into SM???

i honestly have no idea. i asked a few guys on our region and they suggested it was csp. i really don't understand the classes all that well. i was also told that as long as i was close and wasnt dominating the class they weren't going to be really picky about which one i was in.

let me ask you, which class should i be in? it is an 89 civic that used to have a tbi 1.5l. it now has a non-vtec 1.8 from an ls integra with matching stock ecu. it has an ebay air filter, ebay headers and custom 2.5" exhaust. it also has 10.2" brakes in front (stock are 9.5), 9.5" discs in back (stock was drums), and a 15/16th master cylinder with the integra booster (stock was a 5/8ths master or something like that). I also swapped the rear lower control arms, rear upper control arms, rear and trailing arms from an integra which widened the rear stance by about 1/2". Lastly it has a 22mm front sway bar from an integra and i am trying to mount the matching 14.7 mm one in the rear. I run street tires on 15" rims (stock was 13" or 14", idk).

Any ideas?

PS, sorry if this is off topic or seen as stealing the thread.

with the motor swap, you should be in SM. I see lots of civics with B16 swaps that have to run in SM, so I'm sure the LS motor swap will throw you in SM as well.

K, Thanks! I really wish i could just call it an integra. :p Most everything on it is stock from an integra, but a stock teg wouldn't be in sm.
