Hey all, the folks who run Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI are trying to put together a race event called BOOST FEST -- it is open to all boosted racers (Import and Domestic), and they are breaking it down into a few classes.

In our case, we are only able to compete in their "Class 1" description OR we make our own AWD class if there is enough people able to commit -- at least 12-16 cars, since it will be run as a pro tree/sportsman ladder race.

I am asking for more support from the people around the area to at least check it out and see if it would be interesting to do.

Check out the Real Street Drags forum at: BOOST FEST!!! - Real Street Drags Official Forums -- for more details.

The rules are still being worked out, but if we are going to do our own class, we will have a much better chance to make the rules dictate more fairly across the board. Likely using Sport RWD or Pro FWD style NHRA-based rules for safety.

If we don't get much interest in the BOOST FEST event, please at least check out the Import Drag Wars race series at Great Lakes Dragaway in 2008:

If you guys have interest in either event, please post up here, or just register to REAL STREET DRAGS and get in on the conversation. If you have any other questions, please either post up here or PM me and I will do my best to get the info.

Thanks for looking, and I hope to hear from you all soon!

Since the class rules they put together were a little sketchy concerning any imports playing along, we have put together a set of rules to make a new class -- the AWD CLASS!!!

Please chime in if you are interested in the event, or register on REAL STREET DRAGS and join the conversation.
