I hit some black ice on my way home from college tonight. I completely busted my front bumper when I slid into a hillside. I'd like to get another stock one.

Does anyone know of a junkyard within 100 miles of Saxonburg, PA (my hometown) or Erie, PA (college) that has DSMs?

Feezel's is right past the Ohio line (in Enon Valley PA). They are a bunch of over-priced pricks if you ask me, but have a lot of DSMs... And there is A-1 import, but I'm not sure if they have any talons right now. A-1 is close to Boardman Ohio (actually about 10min closer to PA than Boardman itself), if you know where that is. Either way, the number for A-1 is 330-549-3936. Not sure the number on Feezels.

Since I know everyone likes pics of damage, here's 3 I just took.

Unless there is damage behind all that packed snow, there wasn't anything else hurt on the car but the bumper. Not bad for a 40mph slide into a hillside.

So I got around to doing a temporary fix. I used stainless steel sheeting that I had laying around, bolts, and epoxy to get the broken part of the bumper back on. It doesn't look half bad. I lost a lot of paint though.

Also, to add to the damage list:
  • I bent the bracket on each side of the radiator. Rebent it, it's fine. I have no clue what they are for. They wern't connected to anything.
  • I twisted the stock SMIC. It has a 5-10* twist top to bottom. The mounting bracket was also bent. Unbent the bracket, it's good too, just with a twist. No leaks.
  • I cracked the UICP right where it connects to the intercooler. It gave me a massive boost leak that I didn't notice until after I had everything back together. Some RTV, electrical tape, hockey tape, and pipe clamps seem to be holding pretty good until I can afford an upgrade.
  • I also found a massive rust spot where the one support comes down the middle of the radiator. That explains why I had to slam my hood to get it to close. It's fixed with some stanless steel sheeting for now.
  • Both of my fog lights were toast. Good thing Walmart sells ones that look exactly like what were on there before for cheap.

Overall, the damage wasn't bad. Could have been much, much worse.

I haven't got around to checking out the junkyards yet. I don't have the $$$ to get a bumper right now. I'll try to get back on here and post what I find. (Whether they had DSMs or not.)
